Seedelli catalogues open-pollinated organic varieties from independent UK seed producers. Every variety here is reproducible from saved seed, with no F1 hybrids, no plant patents, no proprietary lock-in.
Browse all seeds →No F1 hybrids. Every plant produces seeds that grow true to type the next year. The genetic diversity stays in the gardener's hands, not in the breeder's lab.
We index seed houses that are owned and operated by growers, not seed corporations. Small-scale, often organic or biodynamic, always transparent about provenance.
Heirloom varieties from the 19th century alongside contemporary open-pollinated breeding work. The criterion is reproducibility, not nostalgia.
The full catalogue is publicly browsable. We link directly to the producer's shop, with no affiliate manipulation of search results.
Most online seed catalogues are run by sellers, optimised for conversion, not for understanding. F1 hybrid seeds dominate commercial supply because they cannot be saved and replanted, locking gardeners into yearly repurchases. Heirloom and open-pollinated varieties have lost commercial visibility despite carrying most of the genetic diversity that food security depends on.
Seedelli started in French in 2026 as an independent index of free and reproducible seeds from four French producers: Kokopelli, Germinance, Sainte Marthe, Semaille. The UK launch extends the same principle: clear sourcing, no F1, public catalogue, direct links to producers.
The full French catalogue has 6,117 varieties. The English catalogue starts with 309 and will grow as we onboard Real Seeds and other UK and Irish producers committed to open-pollinated seed.
If you grow open-pollinated organic seeds in the UK or Ireland and want your catalogue indexed on Seedelli, the simplest path is to send a sitemap or a CSV export to [email protected]. We do not charge listing fees. We do request a stable URL structure so the index stays accurate over time.
