A vigorous Japanese type bunching onion producing stems up to an inch in diameter. Ishikrona is definitely one of our favourites. It is beautiful in every way with fresh green coloured leaves and a bright white stem. It is succulent, mild and sweet in flavour, fresh and crispy in texture. It is extremely hardy as well as pest resistant and it stands in the ground for a long time without bulbing up. As an important ingredient of the Asian cuisine, it can be used in stir-fries, soups and salads. It can be used instead of or alongside onions. (Approximate seed count - 385)
