Perilla frutescens
A culinary herb from Japan, Shiso produces deep purple leaves with serrated patterning and an aromatic taste profile of cumin, cinnamon and anise. Shiso can be used as both a garnish and as a colourful and flavoursome addition to your salad mix or stir fries. It's also traditionally used in pickling, including umeboshi, the Japanese sour plum pickle and tinges everything a plum purple. (Approximate seed count - 200)
